Our Social & Cognitive Neuroscience Lab is interested in understanding how the presense of others influence the mental processes of ourselves. We are also interested in understanding how envioromental cues influence our behavior in both social and non-social contexts. The lab is currently funded by the Research Foundation – Flanders (Fonds Wetenschappelijk Onderzoek, FWO) and by the Special Research Fund (Bijzonder Onderzoeksfonds, BOF) and hosted by the Department of Experimental Psychology (Faculty of Psychology and Educational Sciences) at Ghent University.

In our lab, we use a combination of various neuroscientific methods, including behavioral testing, EEG, fMRI and TMS to understand how and why the presence of others affect the way we perceive and represent the world around us, and how envioromental cues influence us in social and non-social contexts.
